"Tiny" Parent Consultation Series
Personalized consultations designed to educate and empower parents about their child’s development ….because you shouldn’t rely on Instagram, Google, friends or your parents for this information.
There is so much information on social media, in mom groups, or from friends and family.
Have you been told that your child has a tongue tie and you’re not sure what to do? Will a tongue tie affect their speech when they’re older? Have you read information about tongue ties, high palate, mouth breathing or thumb sucking and now you’re not sure what to do to help your child? Are you unsure of the oral devices being sold (e.g. MyoMunchee, tongue training straws, etc.)? Are you unsure if your child is a picky eater, or if there is a bigger problem? Are you comparing your less verbal toddler to your verbose older child (or their friends)? I am here to answer your questions!

Oral Habits Cessation Program
Assessment & Treatment
Many children struggle with eliminating thumb sucking, finger sucking, extended pacifier use and other noxious oral habits, which can cause the following:
• Increased overbite, open bite, overjet and palatal growth
• Altered facial growth
• Orthodontic problems
• Oral function problems
• Speech articulation issues
• Feeding issues
This program focuses on determining the “why”. Why is this oral habit occurring? It’s normal for babies to suck but when this extends past infancy, there is a reason why. Let’s figure that out and fix it! We focus on positive reinforcement, boosting a child’s confidence and never making them feel shameful about their habit.
The program includes the following
Assessment of oral structure and function
"Quit Day" session, which includes a Quit Kit/supplies needed for successful cessation of the habit. This session also includes daily phone calls or texts with the child for 7 days
4 follow-up visits are provided to follow progress, troubleshoot any issues and reassess the oral structure. This is provided roughly over the course of 4 months.

Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders in Toddlers and Preschoolers
Assessment & Treatment
Traditionally, myofunctional therapy is intended for children 4 and up, due to the complex nature of the instructions the children need to follow.
Myofunctional therapy is used to correct improper use of the tongue and facial muscles, which can impact: speech, feeding, breathing, sleep, facial growth/development and more.
I provide myofunctional influenced therapy to toddlers & preschoolers in a fun, play based way that is appropriate for their developmental level.
This also includes working on proper oral function skills for noxious oral habits cessation (e.g. pacifier, thumb sucking, finger sucking). In the toddler and younger preschool population we cannot always work towards elimination, but we can work towards decreasing the intensity and frequency of the habit.
Assessment: $275, $375 or $550
Treatment: $125, $165 or $195
